Brainstorming Workshop on Open Science, Research Data Management, and Decision-Making

The Brainstorming Workshop on Open Science, Research Data Management, and Decision-Making aims to facilitate an open dialogue among scientists and stakeholders on topics related to Open Science (OS) and Research Data Management (RDM), jointly organized by Skills4EOSC, EPOS and the Italian Civil Protection.. Participants will exchange perspectives, visions, and opinions on data sharing and management, focusing on policy and decision-making, specifically addressing Disaster Risk Management in the Civil Protection sector.

As a brainstorming workshop, the primary objective is to foster the exchange of visions and to understand different approaches to implementing and supporting OS (with a focus on Open Access to data and research products) and RDM, along with their implications for decision-making processes. Embracing the principle of OS being "open as possible, closed as necessary," stakeholders will share viewpoints on managing openness, embargoes, and restrictions in data access and scientific products.
