The EOSC Symposium 2024, scheduled for October 21-23, will feature an Open Science Competence Centres Session "Open Science Competence Centre in the EOSC and Beyond," which takes place on October 22 from 11.30 to 12.30.
This one-hour session will explore the functions and missions of Competence Centres, their role in the EOSC Federation and nodes, and potential collaborations between different projects. Experts from Skills4EOSC, OSCARS, EOSC-EuroScienceGateway, EOSCFocus, and EVERSE will lead the discussion, sharing insights and fostering dialogue on these crucial topics.
The session is designed to be interactive, with both in-person and online participants able to contribute. Online attendees can join via Sli.do, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to engage in the conversation.
The unconference format encourages open discussion and knowledge sharing. Participants will have the chance to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities in the field.
To attend online, register by October 14, 2024. For in-person attendance, only if you are already registered, the session will be held at the H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz, Room Friedrich Wilhelm.
This session is relevant for policymakers, researchers, and anyone involved in EOSC projects or governance. It offers a platform to contribute to developing Open Science Competence Centres in Europe.
