Skills4EOSC is recognized as one of the leading projects in EOSC for training and is among the organizers of the Training and Upskilling Session at the EOSC Winter School, held from January 29 to February 01, 2024, at KEDEA, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki’s Research Dissemination Center in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The EOSC Winter School, organized by EOSC-A in collaboration with Horizon Europe EOSC-related projects, aims to foster collaboration and integration among Higher Education (HE) projects. The event comprises six parallel focuses designed to provide in-depth technical insights into specific opportunity areas, integrating the deliverables of the EOSC-A Task Forces into these projects.
The Training and Upskilling Session (OA5) is a key component of the Winter School, focusing on promoting Open Science and developing a skilled scientific community. Participants will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights from Task Force Co-chairs on crucial topics such as Upskilling Countries, Data Stewardship, and Researcher Engagement & Adoption.
The session features interactions with leading projects like Skills4EOSC, EOSC4Cancer, and EuroScienceGateway, highlighting the European Union's commitment to creating targeted training programs and a FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) Open Science training ecosystem. This initiative aligns with the Multi-Annual Roadmap (MAR) and the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), ensuring the integration of Open Science practices as the 'new normal' in scientific research and education.
