Skills4EOSC at the FAIR-IMPACT National Roadshow in Italy

On April 8, 2025, the FAIR-IMPACT National Roadshow arrives in Italy with the hybrid event "FAIR Assessments for Research Quality Evaluation and Reproducibility", taking place in Genoa and online. FAIR-IMPACT organizes the event in collaboration with ETT and the Data Stewards of the University of Bologna.

Sara Di Giorgio, coordinator of the Skills4EOSC project, will join the event to present the activities of the Italian Competence Centre for Open Science (ICDI), which is currently under development. During her talk, she will also introduce the network of Competence Centres established within the Skills4EOSC project and highlight the training opportunities and courses developed to support Open Science practices across Europe.

The morning session of the Roadshow will focus on the Italian Open Science landscape, including national initiatives such as the Italian Open Science Plan and the Italian Reproducibility Network, with special attention to FAIR data practices. In the afternoon, the spotlight will be on best practices from Italian research communities, especially in the areas of environmental emergencies and marine science.
