Skills4EOSC to launch Competence Centres Network on June 25

The Skills4EOSC project is set to unveil its Competence Centres Network in a virtual event on June 25, 2024, from 9:30 to 12:30 CEST. To join the event register here!

 This launch marks a significant step forward in promoting Open Science and advancing the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) ecosystem.

The Skills4EOSC Competence Centres (S4E CCs) are designed as collaborative hubs, bringing together expertise in Open Science and data management across various countries and domains. These centers aim to bridge the skills gap in Open Science by offering specialized training programs and support.

Key features of the S4E CCs include:
- Serving as focal points for Open Science and EOSC activities
- Providing training and support for FAIR research output management
- Collaborating at a pan-European level to align curricula and certification schemes
- Connecting stakeholders to national and international Open Science programs

The launch event will showcase how these centres operate as access points to networks focused on Open Science and FAIR research practices. Attendees will gain insights into the CCs' role in workforce upskilling and reskilling initiatives centred on Open Science principles.
